River Towns Ride & Festival!
Delaware City is once again proud to host the River Towns Ride & Festival, a one-of-a-kind cycling experience that connects the historic riverfront towns of Delaware City, New Castle, Wilmington, and Chesapeake City, MD.
The ride begins on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 9:00 AM and offers participants the opportunity to earn medals based on the distance they complete—whether they’re riding for fun or taking on the challenge of a longer course.
After the ride, cyclists and guests are invited to a post-ride reception at Dolly Spanker’s (30 Clinton Street, Delaware City, DE 19706). The celebration takes place on the deck overlooking the Delaware River, with food, music, and refreshments. All registered riders age 21 and older will receive their first beer free, courtesy of Dogfish Head.
Community Notice: Residents and visitors should expect increased cyclist traffic in and around Delaware City during the event. Please drive with care and plan accordingly to ensure the safety of riders and the community.
